Wolfram Gruna new Future League coach

At the end of the autumn season, youth leader Walter Oberschlick took over as interim coach of the spusu SKN St. Pölten Women's Future League team. From now on, Wolfram Gruna will be in charge of the fortunes of the young wolves. Gruna, who worked as a goalkeeper for Rapid for many years, a short stint at Arsenal London (youth team) and numerous Viennese and Lower Austrian clubs, knows women's football very well. He most recently worked as a coach at USC Landhaus and transformed the Floridsdorfers from relegation to title candidates in the second division. Ultimately, USC Landhaus' promotion battle was narrowly lost in the previous season against SPG Lustenau/Dornbirn. “It was a personal defeat, not having achieved promotion, from which I was able to take a lot of lessons and experiences with me,” said Gruna.
The young wolves of the spusu SKN have so far left an extremely positive impression on the new coach: “The quality in the young squad is absolutely there, we don’t need to hide in comparison.” Gruna also has a concrete plan in mind when it comes to playing style: “I prefer one offensive style of play, possession-oriented with a lot of effort towards the goal. “But the development of the players is above all,” said the new coach, who runs a goalkeeping academy in Tulln.
