Girl's golden head gives the SKN a ticket to the final

The semi-finals in the SPORTLAND Lower Austria Cup between the SKN women and the guests from Vienna had everything on Holy Saturday in the SPORTZENTRUM Niederösterreich: a duel at eye level, excitement and a header from Mädl, with which the she-wolves secured their ticket to the final. Another club from the federal capital, Vienna Austria, is waiting in the final.
After the 1-1 draw at the Hohe Warte, both the hosts of the spusu SKN and the Vienna women went into the semi-final game in the SPORTLAND Lower Austria Cup highly motivated. There were only a few changes to the she-wolves from St. Pölten, otherwise Liese Brancao trusted the elf who kidnapped a point on the Hohe Warte.
The spectators witnessed a thrilling duel before Valentina Mädl made the preliminary decision in the 107th minute with her header in extra time. The final phase was overshadowed by an injury to Vienna player Julia Kappenberger, who landed badly in a duel and was left lying with great pain in her shoulder. After a long break, the German was taken to hospital for checks and further care.
Austria against SKN in the final
In the second semi-final, Austria beat hosts Altach/Vorderland 2-1, meaning the final duel will take place on May 9th in Wr. Neustadt defending champion SKN St. Pölten against Austria Vienna.

Basketball players present in final series
In the main evening, the big stage belonged to the basketball players from SKN St. Pölten. Coach Lana Petrovic's team wants to gild their debut season after winning the cup and also secure the championship in their very first year. The foundation for this was laid with a 58:41 win against final opponent Graz, but the Graz women really held up well at times. The best thrower in the first game was Inga Orekhova with 18 points. The second final game in Styria will take place on Easter Monday. The final series will be played in the “Best of 5” format, and the first team with three wins in the finals can call themselves Austrian basketball champions.
